My focus is to build on your strengths, while supporting your needs with research backed treatment methods. I am happy to meet you where you are and to work flexibly with you on what you need in the moment. An honest and candid approach is best, so I strive to be ‘real’ with people.
As a working parent, I understand the stresses and demands of balancing work and home life. Let us plan how to enrich your spirit while meeting your obligations.
On a personal level, I love most nerdy things, sewing / crafting and delight in catching all your 90's references.

Clinical Experience
I have worked with a wide variety of clients of all ages in many settings including outpatient clinics,
schools, foster care, and a homeless shelter. Many of my clients have struggled with stress,
depression, anxiety, self-esteem, parenting difficulties and relationship problems. Although I often
see clients on an individual basis, I enjoy working with families and partners as well. I love running
psychotherapy groups and have lead groups on managing depression, Dialectical Behavior Therapy
(a curriculum that teaches one how to balance moods, tolerate distress, improve relationships, and
use mindfulness), as well as men’s and women’s groups.
For 15 years, I was a Senior Psychologist with Ventura County Behavioral Health specializing in
working with adults who have severe and persistent mental illness. While with VCBH, I served 2
stints as the Chief of the Psychology Department and in various roles on the Psychology Executive
Committee for over ten years. I have provided clinical supervision to master’s level and doctoral
level therapists in every stage of training and experience as they pursue licensure.
I have had the privilege of working closely with many kinds of allied professionals (psychiatrists,
case managers, social workers, marriage and family therapists, nurses, physicians, teachers, etc) and will gladly collaborate with anyone who you deem important to your care. As a
Ventura native, I’m familiar with many community resources and programs and can help you
navigate and link to additional supports.
